'Join Arsenal' - Nigeria official urges Osimhen amid N54b per season Al Hilal temptation
Published: June 04, 2025
Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, has urged Victor Osimhen to consider joining Arsenal, amid strong interest from Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal.
Osimhen, who enjoyed an impressive season at Galatasaray, has emerged as a prime target for Al Hilal as they aim to bolster their attack ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club has already opened talks to sign the Nigerian forward, with manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly giving the green light for the move.
Al Hilal is said to have tabled a lucrative offer of €30 million per season (approximately ₦54 billion) plus performance-related bonuses, to tempt the Super Eagles star to the Middle East.
Despite the strong interest from Al Hilal, Efoghe has encouraged the Nigerian striker to consider a move to the Emirates Stadium, expressing confidence that he can thrive in the Premier League.
Speaking on the MatchUp Podcast, Efoghe expressed strong belief that Osimhen would be a perfect fit for the Premier League, particularly Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.
"I want him to go to Arsenal because there is this school of thought that with the way he plays and the way Arsenal plays, he can score up to 30 goals in the Premier League," Efoghe said.
He described Osimhen as a “complete player,” citing his aerial strength, finishing ability, and physical presence as assets that would thrive in England’s top flight.
"Osimhen is strong aerially, he is deadly with his feet as well, he is a complete player”
As the build-up to the Club World Cup intensifies and transfer speculation heats up, Osimhen faces a crucial career decision: to stay in the European league or embrace the financial allure of the Saudi Pro League.
