Confirmed: Everton offer new deal to promising attacker eligible for Nigeria, England and Germany
Published: June 09, 2025
With a statement on the official website, Premier League club Everton have provided an update on players who are out of contract at the end of this month in line with the Premier League publication of clubs’ retained and released lists.
At academy level, the Toffees have confirmed that a new deal has been offered to promising tri-national attacker Coby Ebere.
Born in Germany, Ebere is eligible to represent the national teams of Germany, England and Nigeria.
The 19-year-old has been on the books of Everton since the age of eleven, rising through the ranks to make his competitive debut for the U18s whilst still a schoolboy.
He scored an impressive eleven goals in nine outings in the U18 Premier League during the 2023-2024 season, including hat-tricks in away wins at Stoke City and Leeds United.
The following season, he was promoted to Everton's development squad on a permanent basis, registering three goal involvements in seven outings in Premier League 2.
Ebere was part of the Toffees matchday squad for the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace in February 2025.
The forward has cited Arsenal's record goalscorer Thierry Henry as his footballing idol.
He signed his first professional contract at Everton in September 2022, less than three months after inking a scholarship deal with the Merseyside outfit.
