'A lot of clubs want your services' – Osimhen opens up on Napoli future and Galatasaray spell
Published: June 19, 2025
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has broken his silence amid speculation over his future, revealing that several clubs are keen on signing him but insisting he remains focused on taking a well-deserved break.
Osimhen, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, delivered a standout campaign capped by a league title and strong performances in the Europa League.
The former African Footballer of the Year enjoyed a prolific campaign with Galatasaray, netting 37 goals across all competitions.
He finished as the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig and was also honoured with the Goal of the Season award.
Having put himself in the shop window with his imperious displays, the Napoli-owned striker has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Al-Hilal, Juventus, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
Galatasaray, where he spent a highly successful loan spell, are also eager to secure his services on a permanent basis.
Speaking in an interview with Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze, Victor Osimhen responded to reports linking him with a potential departure from Napoli.
"It's always like this when the season ends and the summer transfer window begins," Victor Osimhen told Daddy Freeze.
"You have a lot of clubs wanting your services, but right now, I'm focused on my holiday and enjoying myself.
"While I'm enjoying my break, I'm also reminiscing about the past season I had with Galatasaray—watching clips of my goals, the mistakes I made, and the things I did well."
Reflecting on his growth, he added: "This has really helped me grow, not just as a player, but also as a man. Hopefully, very soon, the decision will come from me."
Osimhen is under contract with Napoli until June 2026, and has a release clause set at €75 million.
