Confirmed: Former MLSer Offor joins Russian Premier League newcomers FC Baltika
Published: June 24, 2025
Russian Premier League newcomers FC Baltika Kaliningrad have announced the signing of former Chicago Fire and CF Montreal attacker Chinonso Offor.
By signing a four-year contract with last season's Russian First League champions, Offor ended a 17-month association with Bulgarian outfit Arda Kardzhali.
He is the second Nigerian forward to join FC Baltika in the offseason, following in the footsteps of Tenton Yenne, who joined the club at the start of June.
Offor has enjoyed a remarkable football journey that began in 2012 on the streets of Lagos.
In 2017, he moved to Northern Cyprus, where he had a brief stint with Binatli, marking the start of his professional career in Europe.
In 2019, Offor signed with Latvian outfit Daugavpils, where he impressed with 10 goals and three assists in 23 appearances.
His performances earned him a transfer to fellow Latvian club RFS in 2020, where he scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 17 games.
Later that year, the 25-year-old joined Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire, further elevating his profile.
He made the switch to Bulgarian outfit Arda in early 2024, going on to register 12 goals and 9 assists in 48 games.
A product of Real Sapphire, he also counts Cihangir GSK and Zulte Waregem as his former clubs.
