AC Milan interested in youngest Nigerian to feature in Europe's top 5 leagues in 2024-25

According to reports from transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Italian 'big boys' AC Milan have expressed strong interest in Genoa's history-making Nigerian defender Honest Ahanor.
Ahanor was the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in Europe's top five leagues during the 2024-2025 season, which includes the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
The promising defender made his full Serie A debut for Genoa against Juventus on September 28, aged just 16 years and 218 days.
He played 69 minutes in the encounter at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, which ended in a 3-0 defeat for his side.
He later went on to register his first professional assist against Serie A champions Napoli – his sole goal contribution in an entire season plagued by a meniscus injury.
Ahanor spent the past season between the first team and the Genoa Primavera amassing 9 appearances in total, 6 for the first team and 3 for the reserves with 510 minutes played across both teams.
Once courted by Juventus even before his professional debut, AC Milan are huge fans of his qualities as a left-back.
His versatility to play as a central defender and a left-sided midfielder is also appreciated by newly appointed Rossoneri boss Max Allegri.
Honest Ahanor is valued at €5 million and has a contract until the summer of 2027.
With French defender Theo Hernandez leading towards a move to Al-Hilal, there could be a chance for the youngster to link up with Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze in the red and black of Milan.
