David Eguaibor: Dual-national attacker eyeing Super Eagles call-up joins Scottish club

Scottish League One club Cove Rangers have announced the signing of dual-national attacker David Eguaibor.

Although Cove Rangers have not disclosed the financial details or duration of the deal, allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that the forward has signed a two-year contract. 

Football runs in David’s family, as he previously lined up alongside his elder brother, Justin Eguaibor, at Cobh Ramblers.

Despite being eligible for the Republic of Ireland, David Eguaibor wants to play international football for the Super Eagles. 

The Waterford native has been described as a tall, quick and technically gifted attacker, known for his ability to use both feet with ease. 

Eguaibor was offered a contract by Cove Rangers after impressing during a trial earlier this year.

Speaking to the club's official website after the transfer was confirmed, he said: "I was at Cobh Ramblers from the age of fourteen all the way up to first team level and I see this as a way to develop my career further.

"I want to come here, score a lot of goals, and help the team win the title. You need to have those ambitions, especially as a striker."

For the upcoming season, he has been allocated the number 20 jersey at Cove Rangers.
