'A big, physical man' – Aston Villa icon reacts to rumours linking Ndidi with Man Utd and Everton

Aston Villa legend Lee Hendrie has weighed in on the speculation linking Wilfred Ndidi with potential moves to Everton and Manchester United.
Despite signing a contract extension with Leicester City last summer, Ndidi is widely expected to leave the club during the current transfer window following their relegation to the Championship.
The Nigerian international enjoyed a strong campaign in the Premier League last season, registering five assists in 28 league appearances.
Speaking to Football League World, Hendrie, who is also a pundit for Skysport, reflected on Ndidi’s development and his potential move.
"It was only a few seasons back where we were really highlighting how important Wilfred Ndidi was for Leicester and what he did and brought to that Leicester side," Hendrie said.
The Sky Sports pundit highlighted Ndidi’s adaptability and emphasized his strong physical presence.
"I think he's played in different roles over the last couple of seasons where he's been able to play a little bit more advanced.
"He’s got the versatility of sitting deep or joining the attack, where he can be a real force. He's a big physical man."
Hendrie further fueled speculation surrounding Ndidi’s potential summer departure from the King Power Stadium.
"And obviously he's being linked with the likes of Everton and Manchester United."
While reports link the 28-year-old with a move to either Everton or Manchester United, Hendrie believes there is still untapped potential in Ndidi.
"But, yes, I still think there's a lot more to come from Wilf Ndidi because I don't feel that he matched the heights of what he was a good few seasons back where he was highly regarded.
"But he's a versatile midfielder and there's no surprise that clubs are looking at him."
As the summer transfer window intensifies, Wilfred Ndidi will be hoping to secure a summer move that allows him to continue performing at the highest level in top-flight football.
