Glasgow-born Nigerian striker who spent a decade at Celtic extends West Brom stay
Published: July 03, 2025
Championship club West Brom have officially announced that Glasgow-born Nigerian striker Eseosa Sule has extended his stay at the Baggies.
Eseosa and six other young professionals have signed contract extensions with West Brom.
Sule brought an end to his decade-long spell in Celtic's youth ranks when he joined West Brom's scholarship programme in January 2023.
The talented attacker rose through the ranks to make his professional debut in a Carabao Cup fixture in August 2024, coming off the bench for the final 18 minutes of a 2-1 loss to Fleetwood Town.
He signed his first professional contract in May 2023, a deal that expired at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Sule has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with West Brom, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027.
In his first full season at West Brom, he tallied eleven goals in 31 appearances across the FA Youth Cup, U18 Premier League and Premier League 2.
Sule delivered a standout display for the U18s in February 2024, bagging a hat-trick against West Ham United in the U18 Premier League.
The forward bounced back from a slow start to the 2024-2025 season to finish as West Brom U21s top scorer, netting 14 goals and providing four assists across Premier League youth competitions.
