Official: Older brother of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eze joins new club in England
Published: July 15, 2025
Through official channels, Isthmian League Premier Division club Dartford have confirmed the signing of Nigerian attacking midfielder Ikechi Eze.
You may not recognise the name at first, but Ikechi is the older sibling of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, who trained with the Super Eagles in 2017 before committing his international future to his country of birth, England.
Described as a dynamic, attacking midfielder, Ikechi Eze has transferred to Dartford from Aveley.
The transfer was completed in time for him to make his unofficial debut in Saturday’s pre-season clash against Charlton Athletic, where he caught the eye with a lively performance off the bench.
Ikechi Eze started his career with Hampton & Richmond Borough, followed by spells with Fisher FC, Burgess Hill, Horsham, Tunbridge Wells, Whyteleafe, Sheppey Utd, Thamesmead Town, Braintree and Glebe FC.
Additionally, the 28-year-old lists Braintree, Ilford, Sittingbourne, Rilski Sportist, Stranraer, Clydebank FC and Potters Bar Town as his former clubs.
Ikechi Eze appeared in eleven matches during a spell with Scottish League Two club Stranraer in the 2022-2023 season.
