Confirmed: Nigeria international forward joins Fenerbahce from Galatasaray
Published: July 19, 2025
Through a statement on the official website, Turkish giants Fenerbahce have announced the signing of Super Falcons forward Flourish Chioma Sabastine.
The Nigeria international has joined the Yellow Canaries from Women's Football Super League rivals Galatasaray.
Mustafa Kemal Danabaş, Board Member Responsible for Women's Football, was also present at the signing ceremony held at the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex in Ülker Stadium.
Sabastine has embarked on a new chapter on her career after spending less than nine months at Galatasaray.
The 20-year-old has signed a one-year contract with Fenerbahce ahead of the upcoming season.
Sabastine became the second Galatasaray forward to join Fenerbahce this week, following the arrival of Czech Republic international Andrea Stašková.
A product of Unnich FA, Sabastine began her career with Bayelsa Queens in Nigeria before making the move to Europe.
During her time with the Nigerian club, she won three domestic titles and quickly rose to prominence as one of the league’s most exciting young prospects.
Her talent was on full display at the Fifa U20 Women's World Cups in 2022 and 2024, where she scored decisive goals for the Falconets in victories over France and Korea Republic, and also found the net in a 4–0 win against Venezuela.
Sabastine earned her senior debut for the Super Falcons in 2022, coming on as a late substitute for Uchenna Kanu in a friendly against Japan.
