Official: Inter Milan announce signing of versatile Nigerian forward from Serie A rivals
Published: August 01, 2025
With a statement on the official website, Inter Milan have announced the signing of versatile Nigerian forward Richi Agbonifo from Serie A rivals Hellas Verona.
Inter have not disclosed the length or financial terms of the agreement, but both clubs have confirmed that the transfer is a permanent deal.
Agbonifo offers versatility as he is capable of playing as a second striker, centre forward, wide midfielder on either flank, and as a winger on both the left and right.
However, he has revealed that his preferred position is on the left flank in an attacking winger role.
The 19-year-old has embarked on a new chapter in his career following an outstanding season with Hellas Verona youth team, highlighted by a hat-trick against Torino in the Primavera back in February.
He directly participated in 25 goals (14 goals, 11 assists) in 39 all-competition appearances for the youth team of Verona over the course of the 2024-2025 campaign.
Agbonifo has departed Verona after spending thirteen years at the club, having joined them at the age of six following a successful trial.
His father Omoregie Agbonifo is fan of Super Eagles legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha.
