30 days after loan move to Motherwell, Celtic youth product Sule returns to West Brom for rehab
Published: August 06, 2025
Thirty days after Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell announced the signing of Eseosa Sule on a season-long loan deal, West Brom have officially confirmed that he has returned to Albion.
Even though the loan deal between West Brom and Motherwell is still officially valid, the young player, who has both Scottish and Nigerian heritage, has gone back to the Baggies.
This is because he got injured while playing for Motherwell, and he needs to start his recovery process at his parent club.
The decision follows ongoing discussions between Motherwell and West Brom, with both clubs agreeing that the striker should head back to his parent club to continue his recovery.
Sule featured in three matches played by Motherwell in the Premier Sports Cup last month, logging 121 minutes in total.
He brought an end to his decade-long spell in Celtic's youth ranks when he joined West Brom's scholarship programme in January 2023.
Sule signed his first professional contract in May 2023, a deal that expired at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Before his loan move to Motherwell, he put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with West Brom, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027.
The 19-year-old will return to Motherwell when he has completed his recovery.
