Confirmed: Forward eligible for Nigeria, Ghana, England, Lebanon signs new Arsenal contract

Through a statement on the official website, Arsenal have confirmed that quad-national forward Andre Harriman-Annous has signed his first professional contract with the Premier League club.

Seven months after celebrating his 17th birthday, the highly-rated teenager put pen to paper on a new deal, marking another milestone in a journey that began when he joined the Gunners in May 2016.

Eligible to represent Nigeria, Ghana, England and Lebanon, Harriman-Annous is believed to be leaning towards committing his international future to England, having already earned two caps for the Young Lions at U18 level.

Football runs in his family — his elder brother, Brandon Harriman-Annous, is also a product of Arsenal's Hale End Academy, while his uncle is British & Irish Lions rugby captain Maro Itoje.

Harriman-Annous made his unofficial first-team debut in July, coming off the bench for the final 13 minutes of a pre-season friendly against Newcastle United in Singapore.

He was also named among the substitutes for the recent friendly against Villarreal, although he did not feature.

Manager Mikel Arteta invited the forward to train with the senior squad on several occasions last season, underlining the high regard in which he is held at the Emirates.

That faith was rewarded by a breakout campaign in Arsenal’s youth ranks, where he made an impact by scoring on his full debuts in the UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy and U18 Premier League Cup.
