Chelsea forward George was considered by Man Utd before Roma and Fulham deals collapsed

Chelsea forward of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent Tyrique George saw two potential transfers fall through on deadline day.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via his YouTube channel, the England youth international had previously been discussed as part of conversations between Chelsea and Manchester United in June when the Blues explored the possibility of including him in talks regarding Alejandro Garnacho.

Although the move to the Red Devils did not materialize, George remained a sought-after player throughout the summer window.

AS Roma held multiple meetings over a possible deal but manager Gian Piero Gasperini was reluctant to sanction the signing of a player so young.

Fulham pushed hardest in the final hours of the transfer window, agreeing a £22 million fee with Chelsea that included a sell-on clause of over 30 percent.

Romano has clarified that the move to the Cottagers collapsed after documents were not completed in time.

The setback was particularly disappointing for George, who had been keen on securing regular first team football.

Despite the failed transfers, Chelsea intend to register him in their Champions League squad, with the expectation that his future will be revisited in the January transfer window.

A product of the Chelsea academy, George has made 27 first team appearances for the reigning world champions, registering three goals and five assists.
