Arsenal beat Brighton and Wolves to sign English-Nigerian midfielder for youth team
Published: September 14, 2025
Arsenal have secured the signing of highly rated English-Nigerian midfielder Mishel Nduka, beating off competition from Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to academy insider Theballerzscout.
Signed from Charlton Athletic, Nduka is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in his age group.
He will begin his Arsenal career with the U16 and U18 teams, where he is expected to continue his development.
Nduka made his mark at Charlton Athletic, making his debut for the U18s last season when he featured in the closing stages of a 2-1 defeat to Watford.
He was also called up to train with England’s U15 side and featured prominently for the Young Addicks at the 2023 Madrid Cup, scoring the decisive goal against Spartak Trnava in the group stage as Charlton reached the quarterfinals.
In 2024, he represented the club's U15s in the Valley Gold Academy Crossbar Challenge, further underlining his growing reputation.
A dual-national player eligible to represent both England and Nigeria, Nduka is described as a technically gifted attacking midfielder with quick feet, strong press resistance and creativity in the final third.
Arsenal scouts believe he has the potential to develop into a standout talent within the club's youth ranks, making him one to watch in the coming years.
