Most complete U21 winger in Europe: Man Utd, Leverkusen battle for Flying Eagles dazzler Suleiman

Allnigeriasoccer.com can can exclusively report with certainty that several top European clubs are in a race to sign Flying Eagles dazzler Sani Suleiman, who has been making waves at the 2025 Fifa U20 World Cup with a string of eye-catching performances.

Bayer Leverkusen are among the clubs monitoring the gifted winger, having kept tabs on him even before the start of the tournament. 

The German outfit are understood to have been tracking Suleiman since the latter stages of last season.

Premier League giants Manchester United have been keeping a close eye on Suleiman at the U20 World Cup, impressed by his blistering pace, attacking intent and confidence in tight spaces, qualities that have made him one of Nigeria's standout prospects in Chile.

The former Akwa United starlet will miss Nigeria's round of 16 clash against Argentina due to suspension.

Suleiman, who had hoped to build on his impressive display against Colombia, where he caught the eye against Aston Villa defender Yeimar Mosquera, is disappointed by the setback.

His absence will undoubtedly be a big miss for the Flying Eagles, with the winger emerging as one of the team's most dangerous attacking outlets at the tournament.

Suleiman has shown remarkable resilience in Chile, having played through the pain barrier in Nigeria's opening match against Norway. 

Despite picking up a niggle before the game, manager Aliyu Zubairu was forced to summon him from the bench as the Flying Eagles chased an equaliser.

Rated highly across Europe, Suleiman has been recognised by the CIES Football Observatory as the most complete U21 winger in Europe, based on seven key attributes - aerial duels, finishing, assists, take-ons, orchestration, build-up and ground defence.

He also ranks among the top 200 teenagers in European football, with an average score of 70.1, placing him 168th overall.
