Exclusive: CHIBUZOR OKONKWO Returns To Nigeria After Valerenga TestsNigeria international right back Chibuzor Okonkwo is back in Nigeria after injury cut short his trials with Norwegian Premier League club Vålerenga.

Norway based agent Atta Aneke who facilitated Okonkwo's trials with Vålerenga says the club could offer him a second opportunity in the summer.

''Okonkwo was in Norway to attend tests with Vålerenga. He was taken for a speed test, but unfortunately pulled his thigh which has ruled him out of action for between four to five weeks.

''Hopefully, Vålerenga would invite him for further tests when the injury must have healed,'' says Aneke to allnigeriasoccer.com.

The 23-year-old Beijing Olympics silver medalist previously tested with Reading, FC Kryvbas, Ukraine and Russian club FC Rostov, but was not offered a contract.

Vålerenga currently have two Nigerians - Fegor Ogude and new recruit Ahmed Suleiman- on their payroll.

Suleiman was issued a work permit by the Norwegian authorities last week. The former Heartland ace could make his league debut this weekend against SK Brann.
