Everton Decide To Sell JOSEPH YOBO
Published: May 18, 2012
Everton have decided to part company with the Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo in the summer, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Yobo commands a transfer fee of four million pounds, and is said to be attracting interest from teams in Germany and France.
Reports in Turkey earlier in the week revealed that Fenerbahce, where Yobo had spent the past two seasons on loan, might not be interested in doing business with Everton for the defender as his transfer fee is on the high side. Coupled with that, the 31-year-old has no resale value.
Just before the Turkish Cup final, the 87 caps Nigeria international cleared his belongings from Fenerbahce's dressing room fueling speculations he may not be returning to the cup winners.
Joseph Yobo is under contract at Goodison Park until the summer of 2014.
