OGUNJOBI, LAM-ADESINA To Give Talk In OGSD Symposium

The former Nigeria Football Federations’ Secretary General, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi and the youthful Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Dapo Lam-Adesina were among resource-persons that would give talk in Ibadan in a symposium organized by Organization for Grassroots Sports Development (OGSD).
The Seminar is part of activities lined-up for public presentation of the sports group, scheduled for Monday, 28th at indoor sports hall of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, where speakers would presents paper on the topic: ‘The ills militating against Nigerian Sport, the panacea’.
The aims and objectives of the body (OGSD) according to its National President, Oladimeji Raji is to redirect and developed sports, in Nigeria at the grassroots level by encouraging it at the schools and outside, especially for kids on the streets.
Raji who had been the President of Nigeria Association of Primary Schools Sports Games Teachers for many years disclosed while addressing newsmen ahead of the event in Ibadan that OGSD was conceptualized to give leverage to sports growth which he claimed to presently be at its lowest ebb in the country.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include member of Nigeria Cycling Federations, Engineer Ndubusi Okorie who is one of patrons of the body, The Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Babatunde Olaniyan, Chairman House Committee on Sports, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Allen-Taylor, Osun State House of Assembly member, AbdulRazak Adeyemi, and a member of Federal Rep. representing Ibadan South/East and Ibadan North/East, Hon. Adebukola Ajaja.
Other Sports loving personalities expected at the gathering are the Caretaker Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Olajide Isaac, his counterparts in Ibadan North/West, Wasiu Olatubosun, Ibadan South/West, Abolaji Taoheed and Kajola Area council boss, Ogungbenro Sunday would also grace the event.
All Directors of sports and General Managers from all States in the Southwest Sports Council were also invited to be part of the dual event.
