STEPHEN KESHI Surprised Peruvian Journos
Published: May 24, 2012
Nigeria gaffer Stephen Keshi played a fast one on Peruvian journalists before the friendly tie with the South American country on Wednesday.
Allnigeriasoccer.com had exclusively revealed the starting line-up of both teams and the names of the Ecuadorian match officials. But Keshi had a different agenda, changing the Eagles team list minutes before the start of the match which surprised everybody.
''I don't know why Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi adjusted the line-up. That was a surprise for everybody here. I think that was
Keshi's strategy to win the game by all means necessary.
''Everybody changed the Nigeria line-up in the last minute. Kudos to the African team, they gave us a good game,'' top Peruvian journalist Víctor Zaferson Mendoza who covered the match for allnigeriasoccer.com said.
The Eagles started the explosive encounter with a team made up entirely of home based lads, but the coaching crew introduced the five invited foreign professionals in the second half.
