Shanghai Shenhua Lure YAKUBU AIYEGBENI To China With Big Cash

Chinese clubs Shanghai Shenhua and Beijing Guoan are the latest suitors for the want-away Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni, according to the Daily Mail.
Following Blackburn Rovers' relegation to the championship, Yakubu is on the radar of most clubs. Earlier, the prolific forward had been linked with Premiership new boys Reading, Southampton and West Ham. There is even interest from Turkish side Eskisehirspor.
Shanghai Shenhua backed by the millions of flamboyant Chinese industrialist and businessman Zhu Jun are prepared to pay Yakubu Aiyegbeni 6.5 million euros to entice him to China.
Argentine Coach Sergio Batista was unveiled on Wednesday as the new coach of Shanghai Shenhua, replacing Frenchman Nicolas Anelka. The 49-year-old gaffer has reportedly targeted 15 new signings.
