OBAFEMI MARTINS Leaving Rubin Kazan
Published: June 02, 2012
Former FC Ebedei whiz-kid Obafemi Martins could change clubs this summer, writes Russia's number one sports daily Sport Express.
The 27-year-old Nigeria international who joined Rubin Kazan from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in the summer of 2010 for a club record transfer fee has seen his first team opportunities limited at the Russian Cup winners.
Chinese Super League clubs Tianjin Teda FC and Qingdao Chzhunnen have reportedly started negotiations with Martins, but he prefers a move to either England or Italy, where he has a home in Como.
Obafemi Martins is under contract with Rubin until June 30, 2013. Rubin hope to do business with any club that can match Martins' valuation of between 4 - 5 million euros.
