Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is chasing Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor.
The Sunday Mirror says Sunderland’s manager will bid £6m for the 25-year-old former England ace if new Villa boss Paul Lambert goes ahead with plans to buy Grant Holt as his preferred partner for Darren Bent.
O’Neill was the boss who helped Agbonlahor’s Premier League career, blossom, leaving him out only once in four seasons in charge.
