STEPHEN KESHI Dedicates Win To Victims Of Plane Crash
Published: June 03, 2012
Nigeria now top Group F of the CAF qualifiers to the Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup. And they have Villarreal CF striker Ikechukwu Uche to thank for his match winner 10 minutes from time as the Eagles beat a courageous Namibian side 1-0.
Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi has dedicated the slim victory to the 153 passengers that lost their lives on Sunday afternoon when a Dana Airline plane crashed on the outskirts of Lagos.
''I wish to dedicate this victory to the families of those who lost their lives in the plane crash in Lagos today (Sunday),'' Keshi was quoted as saying by MTNFootball.com.
The Eagles next game in the qualifiers is a tricky away fixture against the Malawi National Team in Blantyre on Saturday.
