Legia Warsaw Cool Interest In Signing NOSA IGIEBOR
Published: June 05, 2012Previously, Olympic National Team star Nosa Igiebor was linked with a move to Legia Warsaw. There are new developments, and the proposed switch to Poland may not materialize.
Marcin Dobosz, football writer with Poland's biggest and most influential sports daily Przeglad Sportowy, has provided an update on the Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder.
''I know Legia Warsaw has some money now (can't guess an exact number) and plans to buy three players in the summer: a
defender, a midfielder and an attacker.
''But the manager Maciej Skorża, who was willing to sign Nosa Igiebor is no longer at the reign, after he'd lost the league title,'' said Marcin Dobosz to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa are reportedly interested in having Nosa Igiebor in their ranks for next season. And he could arrive any of the clubs as a free agent. Reason: Hapoel have severe financial problems, they have not paid their players' wages for the month of April. Except a buyer is found fast, they are on the brink of bankruptcy.
Igiebor failed to settle at Hapoel Tel Aviv. Several times, he left his bag with kits in the Hapoel dressing room after training, and was often reminded to pick his belongings the following day.
But he showed his compassionate side recently. After Olympic National Teammate Harmony Ikande was released by Beitar Jerusalem and left homeless, it was Igiebor who provided succor to Ikande, housing him in his apartment at Tel Aviv.
