ONYEDINMA Assures On Falcons, Women League
Published: June 05, 2012
Onyedinma, who led the team to Zimbabwe where Super Falcon secured a 2-0 away victory against the Zimbabwean Female Nation Team in a World Cup qualifier match and recordeda 1-1 draw against Mayana-Mayana of South African in another friendly match made the call while speaking with newsmen on their arrival at Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos on Monday evening.
The Chairperson of Nigeria Women League Board defended the Falcons who were not too impressive in Zimbabwe, saying the most important thing was the victory the team recorded against their Zimbabwean counterpart but the team still has every chance of betting better in their subsequent matches.
She was however, thankful to God for granting them a successful outing, a save and itch-free trip back to the country.
While reacting on the Women League that just recommenced after a three weeks break, Onyedinma lauded the efforts of all
stakeholders in women football industry, whom she claimed were the people making the game moving forward but disclosed that her board has been working tirelessly to improve the League by making it pretty enough to attractive sponsors.
''Women League Board that is saddled with responsibility of organizing the league is still less than a year in office, but is seriously working round the clock to improve the lot of the league and make it appealing to attract investors.''
