Nigeria Make Progress In Fifa Ranking

On Wednesday, Football's governing body, Fifa, released the latest ranking.of National Teams for the month of June.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, thanks to the hard fought 1-0 victory over Namibia, climbed three places up to 60th position(11th in Africa).
Nigeria's group rivals in the CAF qualifiers to the Brazil 2014 World Cup - Malawi, Kenya and Namibia - are ranked 107th( 27th in Africa), 111st (29th in Africa) and 134th(41st on the continent) respectively.
Rwanda, who face Nigeria in an away game in Calabar on June 17th, fell 14 places . The Wasps are now ranked 119th in the world and 35th in Africa.
Note that Ivory Coast retained its position as Africa's top side followed by Ghana, Algeria, Libya and Mali.
In the Women's ranking released last weekend, the Falcons, with a world ranking of 27th, remain Africa's best team.
