Another alternative being considered to partner Miroslav Klose in attack next season is the Spartak Moscow Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike.
The recently appointed coach of Lazio, Vladimir Petkovic knows about the reputation of Emenike in Turkey, where he netted 30 goals in just over 50 league appearances for Karabükspor.
Emmanuel Emenike wants to leave Russia for Western Europe this summer according to statements credited to his agent. In addition to Lazio, clubs in England - Manchester City and Chelsea - want him.
But the 25-year-old has not played up to 70% of National Team matches in the last two years, which has effectively ruled out a move to the United Kingdom.
A decision on Emenike's next destination will be decided in the next ten days, his agent says.
