Villarreal Yet To Make A Decision On IKECHUKWU UCHE
Published: June 17, 2012
Spanish side Villarreal CF have not made a decision on the future of the Nigerian forward Ikechukwu Uche, who was on target in Saturday's 2-0 Afcon qualifying match against the Wasps of Rwanda.
Uche, who played on loan at Granada last season, is under contract with the Yellow Submarines until June 30, 2015.
The agent of the Nigeria star, Jose Rodriguez says Uche will return to Villarreal CF until further directives.
Jose Rodriguez told elperiodicomediterraneo.com: ''We do not know what will happen to the player, but what is clear is that he has not been referred back to Granada.''
If no club poaches Uche from Villarrea, he has stated that he would not mind playing in Spain's second-tier, a league where he emerged top scorer with 20 goals in 28 matches in the 2005 - 2006 campaign while on the payroll of Recreativo de Huelva.
