OKE AKPOVETA: I Am Training Real Hard
Published: June 18, 2012
Emergent ace Oke Akpoveta is now back from injury, and preparing for the resumption of the season with the rest of his teammates at Brondby's summer training camp, Pitch 3.
Last August, the one time Warri Wolves forward had signed a multi-year contract. Soon after, Akpoveta's season was derailed after he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in a reserve team fixture which ruled him out of action for the rest of the campaign.
''I am looking forward to the resumption of the league, and to score goals for my team which is the main reason Brondby offered me a contract. I just came back from injury, so I am training real hard to get back my sharpness,'' Akpoveta told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Akpoveta is grateful to the Brondby management for offering him the best medical treatment when he was injured.
He said: ''They gave me first class treatment, best treatment available to an injured player. All the physiotherapists are professionals. Hopefully, this coming season I shall repay the club with my performances on the field.''
Brondby start the 2012 - 2013 season with a home game against OB Odense on July 15.
