Exclusive: PATRICK OGUNSOTO Terminates Contract With Akzhayik
Published: June 23, 2012
Patrick Ogunsoto has terminated his contract with Kazakhstan Premier League club Akzhayik.
It would be recalled that in March the 29-year-old forward had penned a two-year deal with the club based in North West Kazakhstan.
''I had to leave Akzhayik because the conditions were unfavorable. There were no internet facilities provided for me at my apartment. I could not communicate with my family in Nigeria. Temperatures were hovering between -30 and -35 degrees. I have never witnessed such gritty weather before since I arrived Europe,'' says Ogunsoto to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Westerlo ace added: '' There are openings for me in Greece and Cyprus. Hopefully, I shall be playing in one of the two countries next season.''
Ogunsoto is a cult hero in Greece. In four seasons with Ergotelis, he scored 71 goals in 114 matches.
