EMMANUEL EMENIKE Too Expensive For Lazio
Published: June 25, 2012
Emmanuel Emenike is being linked with a summer transfer to Italian club Lazio.
A representative of the Spartak Moscow front-man, Tekin Birinci, has told calciomercato.com that the Super Eagles player is too expensive for Lazio.
''There is no negotiation and no real interest. There were only ideas by Lazio, but the player has a very high cost for Italian clubs. In his contract (which expires in 2016 note) is a get-out clause of 27 million euros. A very important figure, so I would rule out a transfer to Lazio,''Tekin Birinci said to the Italian website.
Emenike was expected in Moscow on Sunday to start pre-season training with the red and white. The club had permitted him to travel to Nigeria to attend to pressing family issues.
