Official: OBIORA ODITA Inks Two-Year Deal With FC Taraz, Marries Beautiful Serbian Lady
Published: June 26, 2012
Nigerian striker Obiora Odita has snubbed offers from Serbia and abroad to join 2006 Kazakhstan Premier League champions FC Taraz. Allnigeriasoccer.com has gotten confirmation that Odita signed a two-year deal with FC Taraz.
Odita's past club Javor have lost a jewel. The 29-year-old ex Enugu Ranger was the best player of the team. He had been linked with a switch to FK Vojvodina, Serbia. But the offer from FC Taraz was difficult to turn down.
At the end of this past season, Odita married a beautiful blonde Serbian lady in the temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade, which entitles him to a Serbian Passport.
''We met at the wedding of one my former girlfriends. I immediately liked his smile. Since then, he went to play in the Belgian club Westerlo, we have not seen. One day I got a call from an unknown number. It was Odita. After one week, it was followed by the first meeting. We did not immediately begin to enjoy it, but then we saw there was so much chemistry in the air and a strange feeling as I had never experienced.
''My mother and brother were delighted with him, because he is very polite and kind. Otherwise, I liked the fact that divorce is rare among them in Nigeria, they cherish their marriages, while in our country, unfortunately, the number of divorces are on the increase,'' Obiora's wife, Dunja Viduljeviä† told Vecernje Novosti.
FC Taraz are coached by experienced Serbian expert Ljubomir "Ljupko" Petroviä†, who won the European Cup with Red Star Belgrade in 1991. Only two points behind league leaders Tobol, Petroviä† has ambitions of winning the title this season, and has embarked on recruiting foreign players especially Serbia based professionals.
