ISAH ELIAKWU Starts Tests With FC Mordovia Saransk
Published: July 08, 2012
Newly promoted Russian Premier League club FC Mordovia Saransk have a Nigerian player on trial.
Former Inter Milan super-kid Isah Eliakwu is undergoing tests with the first division champions with a view of landing a permanent deal, the official website has reported.
Eliakwu spent last season at FC Anzhi Makhachkala, making only three appearances for Coach Guus Hiddink's side.
Far behind in the pecking order of forwards, especially with the arrival of Ivorian striker Lacina Traoré in the summer transfer market, Eliakwu, who showed so much promise in his teen years, is considering an exit from the millionaire club.
The Nigerian started Saturday's friendly against Hungarian club DiósgyÅr VTK, which the Russian club lost 0-1.
