Published: July 09, 2012
Nigeria international Uwa Echiejile on Monday started pre-season training with Sporting Braga.
The future of Echiejile at his Portuguese club remains a debate in the local media. The 24-year-old wide player is said to be attracting interest from teams in England(Norwich City), Spain(Mallorca), Greece(Olympiakos) .
A return to France is being mooted. French club Saint-Etienne, seeking reinforcements in defense, have their searchlight on Echiejile.
Following the departure of Emmanuel Imorou, Echiejile's deputy at left back in the summer transfer market, Braga are doing everything possible to retain the services of the former Rennes player who blossomed last season, scoring four goals in 26 appearances in the league.
Uwa Echiejile is under contract with Sporting Braga until June 2014. Transfer market experts currently value him at around four million euros.
