SYLVESTER IGBOUN Not Ruling Out An Exit From FC Midtjylland
Published: July 09, 2012
FC Midtjylland front-man Sylvester Igboun has not ruled out an exit from the Danish club in the summer transfer window. Igboun, 21, arrived FC Midtjylland from nursery club FC Ebedei six years ago.
The young forward is on the radar of teams in Germany, France and Belgium, but there have been no concrete offers for him.
''I don't know yet if I am leaving FCM . The transfer market is still open, and anything can still happen. My agent has told me some clubs are discussing with him. Yesterday, we played a friendly, scouts of two clubs came to watch me. I hope something comes up, I have done enough to merit a transfer from this team, '' says Igboun to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Should Igboun remain at Midtjylland, he is ready to help the side fight for the league title and perform well in the Europa League. He has set personal targets for himself in the 2012 - 2013 season.
He said: ''My objective in the coming season is to play very well for FCM, and score up to eight goals with many assists. I also have ambitions of winning the league title and the FA Cup. It would be nice if we qualify for the group stages of the Europa League, so that people back home in Nigeria can watch us play in the competition (on television, ed).''
Igboun has netted 14 goals in over 60 appearances in his last three seasons with Midtjylland.
