AC Omonia Show RASHEED ALABI The Exit Door
Published: July 12, 2012
Former Flying Eagles invitee Rasheed Alabi's four - year romance with Cypriot powerhouse AC Omonia could come to an end in the coming days.
The Cypriot Cup winners have five defenders on their roster, and want to part with one of them before the start of the season. The top candidate to be chopped off by coach Neophytos Larkou is former Delta United defender Rasheed Alabi.
AC Omonia must submit their squad for the Europa League in the next two weeks. It then means that Alabi's future will be clearer before the end of July.
Alabi is not lacking suitors. Several clubs in Cyprus and abroad have expressed interest for his signature. If Alabi departs Omonia, which is most likely, the highlight of his career was the goal he scored against Manchester City in the UEFA Cup three seasons ago.
