BARNABAS IMENGER Testing With Trelleborgs FF
Published: July 17, 2012
Barnabas Imenger has been undergoing trials in Sweden for about a week with Superettan side Trelleborgs FF, according to information from fotbolltransfers.com.
The 22-year-old Imenger is a Nigeria international who has been capped twice against Egypt and Angola in friendly matches.
Imenger who plies his trade with Kwara United in the local league has left a good impression on coach Anders Grimberg, but will be assessed further in Tuesday's exhibition game with FC Höllviken, a club in Sweden's Division 3 South Götaland.
''It will be interesting to see him in the match, even if it will be crucial for him. We will discuss and we will see what happens,'' said Anders Grimberg to Trelleborgs Allehanda.
Primarily a striker, Imenger, who started playing the game professionally last season, can also be handy in midfield.
