ONYEKACHI APAM: I Am Not Afraid Of ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC
Published: July 17, 2012
Paris St-Germain have confirmed the signing of Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan. The 30-year-old will undergo a medical on Wednesday in France.
There is excitement among defenders playing in the French League, the thought of coming face to face with the former Barcelona forward next season.
Nigeria international and Rennes center-back Onyekachi Apam has told French media that he is looking forward to the challenge.
''I am not at all afraid even though he (Zlatan Ibrahimovic, ed) is very hard to tackle. This is a great player and I'd love to play against him,'' Apam, who played against Messi and Makaay at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, was quoted as saying by 20minutes.fr.
Apam, 25, is reportedly on the wishlist of Ligue 2 champions Bastia in the summer transfer market. The ex Enugu Ranger is currently with the Rennes squad at a training camp in Carnac in Brittany for ten days of intensive training.
