Sturm Graz Interested In MACAULEY CHRISANTUS
Published: July 17, 2012
Top scorer at the South Korea Fifa Under 17 World Cup Macauley Chrisantus has failed to establish himself in the first team squad at Hamburg.
Back at the Bundesliga club after spending last season on loan at second-tier FSV Frankfurt, the Nigerian forward is currently training with the amateur team of Hamburg.
Germany's authoritative sports daily, Kicker reported on Tuesday that Macauley Chrisantus is not in the plans of manager Thorsten Fink for the 2012 - 2013 season and it's very likely he will be sold to another club. In pole position to sign the 21-year-old Nigeria youth international is Austrian club SK Sturm Graz.
Since joining Hamburg five years ago from FC Abuja, Chrisantus has not played an official game in the league for the 6-time German champions.
Macauley Chrisantus is under contract with Hamburg until June 2013. Transfer market experts value him at a fee of € 1,250,000 because of his resale value.
