Exclusive: Former Real Madrid Youth-Teamer CEDRIC OMOIGUI Speaks On Flying Eagles Invitation

Nigeria's Under 20 National Team coach John Obuh named five professionals for the Flying Eagles clash with Tanzania later this month. Included in the squad for the trip to Dares-Salaam is Real Mallorca forward Cedric Omoigui, born November 11, 1994.
Eyebrows were raised when Obuh listed Omoigui on his roster. Cedric who? Nigerians before now had never heard of that name. Allnigeriasoccer.com can reveal that Omoigui is a precocious talent waiting to explode and he is only 17!

''I started my career in one of the teams in Spain called Villaverde Boeticher, then I moved to Pozuelo. After that I joined the youth team of Real Madrid. Presently, I am playing for Mallorca.
''My parents live in Madrid and have always supported me in my career. They are very important to me. I was born in Benin City, came to Spain when I was two years old, now I am 17 years old,'' Omoigui told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Since leaving Nigeria 15 years ago, this is Omoigui's first visit to the country. Honored to be handed a call up by John Obuh, it was his parents who told him the good news, that he had been invited to the Nigeria youth team.
''The Nigeria Federation got in touch with my father, and he told me to start coming immediately to Nigeria. Before now, I had never been invited to the Spanish youth teams. I don't know anything about the country. It's my first experience here,'' Omoigui, who picked former Super Eagles captain Augustine Jay Jay Okocha as his favorite Nigerian player of all time, said
