Official: Ex Fiorentina Player HENRY OKOROJI Joins Montalto
Published: August 08, 2012
Former Fiorentina player Henri Ndubueze Okoroji, 27, has signed a contract with Serie D club Montalto.
On the recommendations of ex Reggiana midfielder, Prince Ikpe Ekong, Okoroji arrived Italy in 2003 to sign for the Granata.
It must be noted that the performance of the central defender sparked interest in other Nigerian players by Italian clubs - Ayo Makinwa and Obafemi Martins.
After one season with Reggiana, Okoroji left for Pro Vasto, where he spent three years. Chieti, Flaminia Civita Castellana and Casertana are the other teams he played for in Italy's basement division.
