Published: August 25, 2012
Turkish giants BeÅiktaÅ have pulled out of transfer talks with José Rodriguez Baster, the agent of Villarreal CF forward Ikechukwu Uche, over his outrageous financial demands, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
Following the relegation of The Yellow Submarine from Spain's top flight at the end of last season, Ikechukwu Uche has been the centre of transfer speculations linking him with an exit from the El Madrigal in the summer transfer market.
It's no secret that Beikta are looking for offensive reinforcements before the close of the transfer window and had beamed their searchlight on the prolific Nigeria forward Ikechukwu Uche.
Negotiations between the hierarchies at BeÅiktaÅ and Villarreal were fruitful but the Istanbul based club pulled out of discussions after Ikechukwu Uche's agent, José Rodriguez Baster demanded an agency commission of €1.5 million. The figure was on the high side and could not be met by BeÅiktaÅ.
The 13 - time champions of Turkey had earlier called the Super Eagles Assistant Coach Daniel Amokachi on telephone to ask him his opinions of Ikechukwu Uche. And following Amokachi's positive recommendations, Besiktas had started talks with Uche's representatives.
Another Nigeria international Sone Aluko was on the agenda of the Samet Aybaba led side. Aluko's agent failed to give the green-light for his client's switch to Turkey, as he preferred him to remain in the United Kingdom. The 23 - year -old later signed a two -year deal with Hull City.
