NOSA IGIEBOR Resumes Training With Real Betis
Published: September 11, 2012
Real Betis newcomer Nosa Igiebor has arrived Spain and on Tuesday evening was scheduled to train with the squad who are preparing for the resumption of the La Liga after one week of international break.
On Wednesday, Betis travel to Portimão to face Portuguese outfit Benfica in an exhibition game. Igiebor, on target for the Nigeria selection on his full debut last weekend against Liberia, is expected to make the trip to the southern coast of Portugal.
Head of medical services of Real Betis, Tomas Calero has played down reports that Igiebor suffered an injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles.
He told the official website: ''We only know that he was hit but nothing major so I do not think it's too important.''
All things being equal, the former Lillestrom ace could make his league debut next Monday against Real Valladolid at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla.
Real Betis are 12th on the 20 - team Primera Division table, but have an outstanding game against Atlético Madrid.
