Exclusive: JUWON OSHANIWA Speaks On Ashdod Deal

On Wednesday, The Dolphins unveiled the former Sharks ace. And only 24 hours later, Oshaniwa, who turned 22 on Friday, made his official debut against Beitar Jerusalem (2-1), helping the club maintain their 100 percent record in the championship.
''I had a lot of offers including two from France. On the advice of Efe Ambrose, I chose MS Ashdod. He told me the club can help me develop and I hope to follow his footsteps in Israel,''said Juwon.
Speaking on his league debut, the wing-back said: ''I want to thank God for making my debut so fast. Honestly my name is all over the city of Ashdod now. The supporters of the club received me well and did appreciate my contribution to Thursday's victory over Beitar. ''
Finally, Juwon Oshaniwa is grateful to the management of past club Sharks and the technical crew of the the National Team for the remarkable progress he's made in the last few months.
''I want to thank my coach at Sharks and every member of the team. I am also very grateful to the coaches in the Super Eagles led by the Big Boss Stephen Keshi, Daniel Amokachi, Sylvanus Okpala and Ike Shorunmu for taking me to this stage in my career,'' he said.
The defender, who is under contract with MS Ashdod until 2016, has been handed the number 18 jersey this season.
