Exclusive: FEGOR OGUDE Doubtful To Face Liberia
Published: September 14, 2012
The options available to coach Stephen Keshi in defensive midfield for Nigeria's reverse fixture against Liberia on October 14 have reduced by one.
Going into that tie, the Super Eagles need to at least preserve their 2-2 away advantage against their West African opponents. Local media reports speculate that Keshi could hand recalls to Chelsea's Mikel Obi, Kano Pillars' Gabriel Reuben and Vålerenga's Fegor Ogude.
However, there are unfavorable news from Scandinavia regarding the physical condition of former Warri Wolves combative midfielder Fegor Ogude, Norway based agent Atta Aneke has informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Fegor Ogude is getting better. Hopefully, he will be ready to start playing for Vålerenga in the next two to three weeks, '' Aneke, who also represents Vif's Chuma Anene, Aaron Samuel and Ahmed Suleiman, said in a brief statement.
Note that Ogude has been out of action since July 11 when he had to be substituted less than 10 minutes into the game against Odd Grenland after breaking his foot.
The earliest date he could resume action is October 7 when Vålerenga host Strømsgodset in the 25th round of matches in the Norwegian championship.
