Spanish outfit Levante have officially announced the signing of Nigeria international Obafemi Martins on a two - year contract. There is an option of an additional season inserted into the deal at the conclusion of the initial two.
''The team is doing well and I hope to play with them. Not right to say the goals that I'l score. I'm here and I hope to score many goals.
''I spoke with Manolo Salvador (team manager), I always wanted to come here and I have to thank Manolo,'' the former Rubin Kazan, Newcastle United and Inter Milan man was quoted as saying by Marca.com.
Martins, according to reports in Spain, will pocket a guaranteed sum of 600,000 euros as annual wages.
He has a release clause of €5 million, a percentage of that amount goes to him.
