UWA ECHIEJILE Dropped For Champions League Tie
Published: September 18, 2012
Sporting Braga will certainly be without Nigeria left back Uwa Echiejile for the UEFA Champions League Group H clash with CFR Cluj on Wednesday.
For technical reasons, coach José Peseiro has omitted Echiejile from the list of 18 players nominated to face the Romania champions.
This summer, Braga were busy in the transfer market. With their reinforcements in defense, Echiejile is no longer guaranteed a first team shirt. It should be noted that his last official game for the bronze champions was on August 25th against Beira-Mar.
The one time Bendel Insurance star returned late to Portugal after international commitment with the Nigeria selection. And when he returned to training, the coach sent the Super Eagle to train with the B Team before he was incorporated into the first team.
