As first published by allnigeriasoccer.com more than a month ago, Nigeria powerhouse Enyimba have beaten Warri Wolves to the signature of one of the hottest commodities in the local league Saviour Fidelis, who spent last season at Taraba United.
Fidelis, top scorer in Nigeria's second - tier with 12 hits in 13 games this past season, has signed a one - year contract with the two - time champions of Africa.
Enyimba enticed the 23 - year -old Super Eagles invitee with big cash to lure him away from Warri Wolves. Fidelis, allnigeriasoccer.com can authoritatively reveal, will pocket 20, 000 euros (=N= 4 Million) as sign on fee, and an additional 15, 000 euros (=N= 3 Million) as annual wage.
After signing the lucrative deal, Fidelis told allnigeriasoccer.com: ''I joined Enyimba because they showed more concern in signing me. This team is one of the biggest teams in Africa. You don't have to think twice when they approach you for your services.''
Apart from winning the title, Fidelis also has an ambition to be crowned the top goleador in the NPL at the end of the 2012 - 2013 season.
''God made it possible for me to be the top scorer in the National League last season. He is still on the throne and by His grace I will set a new goal record in the Premier League that will take a decade to erase. I think it is possible for me to score 32 goals,'' he said.
Teams in Vietnam, Turkey, UAE and Israel had been eyeing Saviour Fidelis this summer.
