Scouts Of Man City, Montpellier And La Coruna Watch ECHIEJILE
Published: September 23, 2012
Uwa Echiejile made a rare start for Sporting Braga in the latest round of matches played in the Portuguese championship. The Nigeria international's last game for the bronze champions was about a month ago against Beira-Mar.
After failing to win their last three games in all competitions, Braga silenced their critics with a 4 - 1 trashing of Rio Ave. Echiejile, absent from those three matches, lasted the entire duration of the game.
According to Portugal's number one sports daily A Bola, representatives of Manchester City, Manchester United, Montpellier, Deportivo La Coruna and Brighton & Hove Albion witnessed the encounter.
It is unclear the mission of the scouts at the AXA Stadium. But it is being speculated that they came to assess some players in the Braga squad.
Reports in the local media had linked Uwa Echiejile with a move to Spanish side Real Mallorca this past summer transfer market.
